## Claude / agent booking flow

1. Connect an MCP client to /api/mcp. Send initialize, then notifications/initialized and tools/list. Use Accept: application/json, text/event-stream; send the negotiated MCP-Protocol-Version on subsequent requests.
2. Call search_stays with from and to as YYYY-MM-DD, total guests, optional children (included in guests), and optional query. Use returned data only; never invent availability or prices.
3. Call check_availability with property slug, from, to, guests and optional children. Present the returned quote, currency, source, check time and policies. Availability is subject to change; no inventory is held.
4. After the guest chooses the stay and explicitly approves preparing sandbox checkout, call prepare_demo_booking_link with property, from, to, guests, optional children, guestName, guestEmail and guestAuthorized:true. This public tool is enabled only for this isolated sandbox preview and creates a new Stripe test session from the details the guest supplies. Do not ask for payment-card data.
5. Return the tool's exact url as a clickable booking link. It contains an opaque token and lets the guest review prefilled details and complete Stripe test-mode payment.
6. With private agent access, booking_status accepts the token to inspect the sandbox booking. Report paid only if the server verifies it; a paid demo is never a real reservation.

Public tools: search_stays, check_availability, prepare_demo_booking_link (explicit guest authorization required; sandbox only).
Private tools: prepare_booking, booking_status.
Claude web setup: add the public /api/mcp URL as a custom connector in Customize > Connectors. No API key or OAuth sign-in is required for the public demo tools. Private booking_status remains restricted; the guest sees verified payment status on the website.
Tools return both MCP text content and structuredContent. isError=true means the request did not succeed.
No OAuth token issuer, public shared secret, ACP payment delegation, or automatic card charging is provided.
If authentication or payments are not configured, explain the returned limitation; never present a simulated success.
